Setup + funding guide
This is the fast path from “idea” to “registered ticker.” You’ll set up a wallet, make sure you have enough KCAL for the network fee, then register.
What you need: a Phantasma-compatible wallet and enough KCAL to cover the registration transaction.
Step 1: Set up a wallet
- Install a Phantasma-compatible wallet you trust.
- Create a new wallet and store the recovery phrase securely (offline backup).
- Open the wallet once to confirm you can see your address and switch networks if prompted.
Tip: treat your recovery phrase like the keys to the ticker. If you lose it, you lose control.
Step 2: Fund with KCAL
KCAL is the network fuel used to pay for transactions. You’ll need enough KCAL to cover the registration transaction fee.
- Get KCAL into your wallet (by receiving it from another wallet, or by generating it via the network’s mechanisms).
- Wait for the wallet balance to update and confirm KCAL is visible.
- Keep a buffer above the minimum shown at registration so you don’t get stuck.
The exact amount can vary by network rules and conditions. TokenDeveloper will show what you need during registration.
Step 3: Check your ticker
- Go to
/check-ticker/. - Type 1–12 letters (A–Z).
- If it’s taken, view the existing token page or try another spelling.
- If it’s available, you’re ready to register.
Have 2–3 backup options. Short, readable tickers get claimed quickly.
Step 4: Register
- Go to
/register-token/. - Connect your wallet (the wallet that will own the ticker).
- Enter the ticker and confirm it’s available.
- Approve the transaction in your wallet.
Once registered, your token page becomes available at /token/TICKER with on-chain details auto-synced.
Troubleshooting
- Wallet won’t connect: refresh the page, unlock the wallet, then try again.
- Transaction fails: check you have enough KCAL and try again with a buffer.
- Ticker looks available but won’t register: it may have been claimed moments earlier. Try your backup options.
Next step
Once your ticker is registered, you’ll have a shareable token page at /token/TICKER. On-chain details auto-sync. You can connect your wallet later to add project info and links.
Ready?
Check availability first, then register when you’re ready.
